Library of Edible Issues

Serendipity Arts Festival 2022 | India Art Fair 2023

The Library of Edible Issues is a participatory, living collection of ideas, provocations, and resources centred around the questions we’re asking about our food systems — and the questions you are too.

Conceived as an open-access, evolving library, this installation was first presented at Serendipity Arts Festival 2022 and later at India Art Fair 2023, inviting the public to pause, browse, reflect, and contribute to a growing archive of food system inquiries.

Why a Library of Questions?

At Edible Issues, we believe that asking better questions is the first step towards building better food futures. This library brings together a carefully curated collection of books, zines, papers, reports, articles, and public provocations that engage with topics like:

  • Food justice and access

  • Biodiversity and culinary memory

  • Labour, identity, and edible inheritance

  • Circularity, waste, and climate resilience

But more than answers, we wanted to gather questions — from visitors, thinkers, farmers, chefs, policy-makers, and everyday eaters — to spark reflection, dialogue, and future collaborations.
